EFC LOCATIONS

Upper Egypt, Arabic Qibl Mir, is a geographical and cultural division of Egypt that includes the Nile River valley south of the delta and the 30th parallel N. Thus, it encompasses the entire Nile River valley from Cairo south to Lake Nasser (formed by the Aswan High Dam). This category also includes what some scholars refer to as Middle Egypt.
