ABOUT US

Egypt Film Commission (EFC) is a subsidiary of EMPC and a one stop shop for all approvals & shooting permits inside Egypt for any foreign productions. This is done in collaboration with the following concerned parties:
(State Ministry of Information – Defense Ministry – Ministry of Interior – Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities– Customs Authority).
Based on the scope of your project, EFC will suggest several local Egyptian production companies that will handle all production requirements such as (Scouting, Equipment, Editing, VFX,..etc.), ensuring that you have a local partner who is well-equipped to handle your project’s needs.

EFC offers production incentives and cashback up to 30% in case of shooting within EMPC premises and using its facilities.

About EMPC

EMPC is the biggest media and production hub in the Arab region, Middle East and Africa. It is located 10 Kms away from the Giza Pyramids plateau and stretches over 2 million sqm in addition to one more million sqm located within the Media Free Zone.

EMPC includes state-of-the-art studios with various surface areas, administrative and technical headquarters for Egyptian and Multi-national companies. It also includes multiple backlots areas, a complex for production and technical services and more than 30 Egyptian and Arab satellite and radio channels that broadcast their content via the Egyptian satellite Nile Sat. These services contribute to providing Arab and foreign production companies, that would like to shoot in Egypt, with the required facilities and amenities.

to foreign production companies and filmmakers.

service excellence for all facilities and flawless management of filming activities in Egypt in order to achieve their desired outcomes.
